The Gratitude program is based on the ground breaking work of Dr. Patrick Carnes who originally developed the curriculum. The treatment program utilizes Dr. Carnes’ 30-task model and the principles of the 12 steps as its foundation, as well as integrating other well-established approaches to the treatment of addiction and promotion of mental well-being. As applicable, patients may receive trauma therapy in addition to being exposed to treatment in the traditional group therapy process. Ultimately this program was designed to provide patients with the most progressive, effective, and innovative treatment available.
It’s our mission to offer high quality, cost-effective care while offering comprehensive, holistic treatment and services. We provide a safe and secure environment where patients can work together under the supervision of professional, caring, compassionate and well-trained staff members.

Given the chronic and progressive nature of the illness of addiction, our staff acknowledges the difficulties and challenges faced by those leaving treatment and implementing a recovery program. At times, a return to problematic and addictive patterns may be the result of trouble facing some of those challenges. We work diligently with all of our patients leaving treatment on a solid relapse prevention and recovery plan to help in their ability to refrain from engaging in their addictive behaviors. However, we also recognize the nature of this disease and work with relapse behaviors as well. It is critical that someone who has returned to problematic behaviors realize that it is not a hopeless situation, help is still available, and changes can be made in order to get back on the path to recovery and health.
As such, we offer a renewal track to help address these issues for alumni of our program. This track is designed for patients who successfully completed their primary treatment program at Gratitude and encounter significant relapse-related struggles within the 12-month period following discharge. The program includes reintegration into a structure and routine that facilitates consistency in the recovery process, as well as assignments geared toward thoroughly examining the processes and factors contributing to theses struggles, individualized work on these specifically identified areas of difficulty, revisiting and revising the relapse prevention and recovery plan, and discharge planning and follow-up recommendations. The length of stay for this track is individually determined from the recommendations of the treatment team, though a minimum of two weeks is requested.
PROFESSIONALS RECOVERY TRACK
Pine Grove Behavioral Health & Addiction Services is proud to offer our patients, who are licensed professionals, a specific Professionals Recovery Track to enhance their recovery and promote post treatment success. This program provides dedicated focus to the issues that are specific to licensed professionals, in order for these patients to be better equipped to return to work safely upon discharge.
Patients within Pine Grove’s Professionals Recovery Track meet daily for 90-minute group sessions within their treatment process. The Professionals Recovery Track is inclusive with the patient’s primary treatment program, the topics our professionals in treatment address within the 90-minute group sessions include:
- Career Factors

STRUCTURED FAMILY RECOVERY™
Structured Family Recovery™ is a program at Pine Grove Behavioral Health & Addiction Services that outlines how each family member impacts a patient’s recovery after treatment.
