Many questions crop up when you are gathering information about addiction treatment. What is the first step? What should I bring? Read on to find the answers to these questions and more.

Pine Grove Frequently Asked Questions

The first step toward admission is to call our admissions department at 1-888-574-HOPE (4673). Our admissions team is available 24/7 to provide information and answer any questions that you may have. They will also complete a complimentary, confidential phone assessment with you to help determine the appropriate level of care to meet your needs.

No, a physician referral is not required for admission.

Once you have completed the confidential phone assessment and scheduled an admission date with us, we will email or fax you a confirmation packet that contains information on what to bring and what to leave at home. When packing, please remember to bring a government-issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license or passport) and, if you have health insurance, your insurance card.

The majority of the counseling is done in a group setting. Individual sessions may occur with your counselor and/or various members of the interdisciplinary treatment team, depending on your needs.

Pine Grove is a smoke free campus. Our Pine Grove experts are committed to healing and changing lives and our philosophy is to treat the entire person while they are in our care. Our goal is to help each one of our patients regain freedom from their addiction and to live a full, healthy life.

If friends and/or family accompany you to treatment, they are welcome (but not required) to stay for the initial paperwork process. This usually takes approximately 45 minutes.

We, at Pine Grove, are always willing to perform a courtesy check with your insurance company. In our experience, insurance companies do not typically provide full coverage for long-term programs, but we will accept insurance from those with eligible and approved plans. We always encourage our families and patients to personally contact the insurance company, as well, so that you can receive a full explanation of your coverage directly from your insurance company. For further details, call our admissions team at 1-888-574-4673.

Cost varies depending on program, length of stay, insurance, and other variables. Patients are made aware of complete financial responsibility and obligations prior to admission to any Pine Grove program. At Pine Grove, we believe strongly in our addiction treatment services and we only recommend the best treatment plan for each and every individual. Insurance benefits can also be checked through our website using our Insurance Verification Form.

Pine Grove believes that family play a very important role in the recovery process. While visitation varies by program and by individual progress, we provide families the education and support they need while their loved one is in our care. We believe the whole family is impacted by this disease and the whole family is part of the solution, offering family sessions in each program.

We, at Pine Grove, know that the first year after treatment can, oftentimes, be the hardest. We invite every graduate to join our alumni group. The greatest alumni benefit is Free Recovery Support for life through our Days of Hope event. Days of Hope is offered four times a year for alumni to return to campus and re-join their original program, meet with their therapist, alumni peers and existing patients. Other benefits include: ongoing phone and email support, including our Alumni app and weekly virtual aftercare meetings. Our Alumni Program also offers support in setting up an alumni chapter in your home state, quarterly newsletters, and more.
