Pine Grove Women's Center
Addiction Treatment for Women
What Is The Women's Center?
Pine Grove’s Women’s Center is a treatment program for women who struggle with chemical dependency. Our combined expertise in substance and process addictions positions the Women’s Center as one of the few treatment centers nationwide who actively treat women with a co-occurring eating disorder. Pine Grove's Women’s Center includes residential level addiction treatment as well as a step down partial hospitalization program for patients based on the clinical decisions of the treatment team. For more information about Pine Grove’s Women’s Center please contact our Call Center at 1-888-574-HOPE (4673).
The Women’s Center incorporates the best of science and tradition to help women find hope and recover from their addictions. At the Women’s Center, our experienced staff integrates several theoretical perspectives, including medical, psychiatric, evidence based therapies, and 12-step philosophy and practice to help our patients live a meaningful and healthy life.
Why We Are Special
At the Women’s Center, patients have the opportunity to focus solely on their recovery and inner growth in a supportive environment, giving them the necessary tools to achieve their personal and professional goals.
This initial phase of treatment focuses on orientating and stabilizing patients. This is accomplished by providing patients with a thorough medical, psychological, and nutritional assessment. Additionally, patients receive a variety of psychosocial assessments during this phase.
This second phase hallmarks the beginning of examination and breaking through any denial surrounding a patient’s addiction. The Breakthrough Phase allows patients to understand the severity and consequences of their addictive behaviors, which have impacted their lives and their loved ones.
This phase embraces the deepening of self-discovery by processing the key experiences which have impacted one’s life. Insight acquired allows patients to fully challenge dysfunctional thoughts and behaviors that support their addiction. Through this journey, patients become intensely aware of old, emotional thinking and behavioral patterns that kept them from living a healthy, fulfilling life.
During this final phase of treatment, patients embrace the joy and spiritual freedom of recovery. Patients that reach this phase have an opportunity to be fully proactive in their recovery by applying learned skills and behaviors in various community settings.
The Family Program assists in the total care of patients by providing education and intensive group therapy for patients and their families. This is where the healing process, within a family impacted by addiction, begins. Licensed and certified Pine Grove therapists work with families to improve communication about the patient’s addiction. Our Family Program also provides time for families to meet with the Women's Center staff and learn more about the recovery process, so they may provide needed support for their loved one.
Due to the complexity of treating women with chemical dependency, Pine Grove’s Women's Center features a multi-disciplinary team consisting of a Program Director, Psychiatrist, Addictionologist, Nurses, Clinical Therapists, Counselors, a certified Dietician, and various recreational professionals.
The Women’s Center offers treatment in a peaceful and secluded environment. The program is housed in a beautifully renovated inn. The facility includes an outdoor pool, kitchen, and a warm, home-like environment for patients. Shared bedrooms for our patients are designed with Southern charm.
The helpful staff also encourages patients to take advantage of a nearby exercise facility, affiliated with Pine Grove.

Relapse and Stabilization Track
Given the chronic and progressive nature of the illness of addiction, our Women’s Center understands the difficulties and challenges faced by those leaving treatment and implementing a recovery program. We work diligently with our patients leaving treatment to develop a solid relapse prevention and recovery plan to help in their ability to refrain from engaging in their addictive behaviors. We also recognize the nature of this disease and understand the return of relapse behaviors and relapses can happen. It is critical that someone who is engaging in problematic behaviors realize it is not a hopeless situation, help is available, and changes can be made to get back on the path to recovery.
As such, the Women’s Center offers a two week relapse and stabilization track to address these issues for women who have previously participated in our program. This track is designed for those who have experienced a relapse as well as those who have concerns about a relapse and wish to stabilize in a safe, supportive environment.
The relapse track is a two week program that includes reintegration into a structure and routine that facilitates consistency in the recovery process, as well as assignments geared toward examining the processes and factors contributing to these struggles. Individualized work on these identified areas include a thorough relapse autopsy, revisiting and revising your relapse prevention and recovery plan, completing Step One, and rigorous discharge planning and follow-up recommendations.
Length of stay for those who need a period of stabilization will be negotiated between you and your treatment team and may be less than two weeks. For women in need of stabilization, an individualized treatment plan will be developed to directly target recovery issues and behaviors that are interfering with a stable recovery.
