Women's Center
A PINE GROVE PROGRAM
Sanctuary, Refuge, Shelter, Safety.
The Pine Grove Women's Center is a residential treatment center specializing in the integrated treatment of eating disorders and chemical dependency. Our unique multi-disciplinary staff determine treatment components based on the patient's individual and unfolding needs.
Treatment Philosophy
Work is done on the behavioral, cognitive, and affective level. Patients are supported in dealing with behavior, thoughts, and feelings. The program also integrates several theoretical perspectives including medical, psychiatric, socio-cultural, feminist, and 12-step.
Containment, Breakthrough, Acceptance, and Empowerment
Pine Grove Women's Center will provide:
Safety to discover.
Support to accept reality and face pain.
Empowerment to live an authentic and congruent life.
Containment Phase (First 2 weeks)
This time is utilized to integrate a program of recovery through completion of assessments, orientation, and through stabilization of both physical and psychological functioning.
Breakthrough Phase
This phase will begin the process of challenging the denial system about the severity and consequences of any addictive processes and behaviors.
Acceptance Phase
This phase marks the beginning of self-discovery and processing experiences which have impacted one’s life throughout the journey of Acceptance.
Empowerment Phase
This phase of the treatment process begins with one’s acceptance of their addictive behaviors. One will demonstrate accountability and responsibility of one’s actions, while maintaining the practice of healthy reintegration and recovery skills.
Family Involvement
The Family Therapy Program at Pine Grove Women's Center assists in the total care of patients by providing psychoeducation and intensive group therapy for families. Family Week is 40 hours of intensive therapy where the healing process between family members begins. Specialized therapists work with families to improve direct, open, and honest communication about the impact of the addiction on the family. Family Week is also a time for the families to meet the Women's Center staff, to learn about recovery, and to be supportive in the recovery process of their loved one.
Treatment Team
Due to the complexity of treating women with eating disorders and chemical dependency, Pine Grove Women's eating disorder, drug and alcohol treatment center has created a professional team consisting of a program director, clinical director, psychiatrist, addictionologist, nurses, registered dietician, clinical therapist, counselor associates, recreational counselor, yoga instructor, and family therapist.
Amenities
We offer gender-responsive treatment in a quiet, peaceful, and secluded environment - indoors and out. The 10,000 square foot manor housing includes beautiful gardens, outdoor pool, spacious kitchen, and comfortable living areas.
