Pine Grove’s Child and Adolescent Services offer specialized care for young individuals grappling with mental health and substance abuse issues. Our state-of-the-art facility, nestled within 22 acres of serene landscape, provides a safe healing environment led expert clinicians. 

Does my Child Need Inpatient Treatment?

Inpatient treatment is most suitable for a child or adolescent who:

  • Exhibits severe behavioral or emotional issues that cannot be managed through outpatient therapy.
  • Poses a risk to themselves or others.
  • Requires intensive psychiatric evaluation and stabilization.
  • Shows symptoms of severe psychiatric disorders like psychosis or severe depression.
  • Experiences substance withdrawal requiring medical supervision.

Our Treatment Approach

Pine Grove’s child and adolescent unit help children in our care through:

  • Clinical Care: Led by two board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists and a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
  • Therapeutic Diversity: Including  expressive arts therapists, nurses, nutritionists, academic support, occupational  therapists and recreational activities.
  • Psychiatric Evaluations to determine the specific conditions and challenges that require treatment.
  • Academic Continuity: On-site classroom support ensuring educational progression.
  • Individual Therapy to address personal mental health challenges.
  • Group Therapy focused on social skills, coping mechanisms, and peer interactions.
  • Family Therapy to involve family members in the treatment process, educate and improve family dynamics.
  • Expressive Therapies such as art and music therapy to provide alternative outlets for expression and emotional processing.
