FORREST GENERAL HOSPTIAL – TREE ROOMS

HATTIESBURG, MS

Workshop Description:

There’s no question suicide is at an all-time high with trends reporting a 30% increase of suicide rates in 2020 compared to those in 2000. Knowing what to do and having the appropriate tools available when a student displays signs of suicidal ideation is important in providing optimal care. Our presentation will outline important information needed to appropriately assess for suicide risk and how to respond accordingly. Having the skill set and confidence in practice is imperative in helping the student and developing a plan of care that best suits the needs of him/her.
