- Personality disorders
How Does PHP Work?
Pine Grove’s PHP resembles a highly structured short-term inpatient hospital program. The recommended length of stay ranges from one week to three weeks, depending on individual patient care needs.
This program is intended for men and women over the age of 18, and serves as the highest level of non-residential psychiatric care that is available within the network of Pine Grove Behavioral Health & Addiction Services. Participants learn a variety of strategies to improve their functioning and manage the symptoms of their diagnoses. The ultimate goal of PHP is to improve quality of life and ensure a smooth transition to step-down levels of care.
Pine Grove’s caring and highly qualified staff for this program is comprised of a psychiatrist, clinical therapist, expressive therapist, and psychologist. Professional referrals are welcome and patients may be assessed for admission at Pine Grove’s main campus location at 2255 Broadway Drive in Hattiesburg, MS and at one of the organization’s many Outreach Office locations within Mississippi and Mobile, AL.
What to Expect
The program utilizes a combination of clinically recognized interventions including group and individual therapy, along with a family therapy session as needed. All patients receive a psychiatric evaluation, and weekly appointments with Pine Grove’s psychiatrist.
The hours for Pine Grove’s Psychiatric PHP program are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This program accepts commercial insurance in addition to Medicare.
