Diane Walker, MD

Dr. Walker has been with Pine Grove since 1991 and serves as the medical director for psychiatric services at Forrest General Hospital. She is a 1986 graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. She completed a psychiatry residency at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in 1991. Dr. Walker is board certified in adult, child and adolescent psychiatry, a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, as well as the American Psychiatric Association. She is also certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine.

Shelton Allison, MD

Dr. Shelton Allison is a licensed psychiatrist at Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services. He attended Jackson State University and graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 2006. Dr. Allison completed his residency program at Medical College of Virginia and joined the Pine Grove staff in 2010.

Roopsi Bassi, MD

Dr. Bassi graduated from the Government Medical College and Hospital in Chandigarh, India and completed her residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Dr. Bassi is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and Mississippi Psychiatric Association. She primarily sees adult patients at Pine Grove Outpatient Services and provides psychiatric consultations at Forrest General Hospital. Dr. Bassi joined the Pine Grove Behavioral Health & Addiction Services team in 2015.

Peter Kamp, MD

Dr. Kamp is a graduate of University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He completed the residency program at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. in 1990 and a Consultation Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship in 1991. Dr. Kamp is board certified is a member of the American Medical Association. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He joined the Pine Grove staff in 1991 and currently sees patients in an outpatient setting for assessment and medication management and serves as a Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist at Forrest General Hospital.

Deepak Khemka , MD

Dr. Deepak Khemka is board certified by American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Psychiatry and Sleep Medicine. He joined the Pine Grove medical staff in 2012. He completed his psychiatry residency in 2011, followed by one year full time fellowship in Sleep Medicine, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson, Mississippi. Dr. Khemka also teaches third and fourth year medical students from William Carey University. Dr. Khemka currently works as a staff psychiatrist on the adult psychiatric unit at Pine Grove and see patients on an outpatient basis for sleep medicine evaluations and follow up. He is a member of American Psychiatric Association and American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

Manpreet Khemka, MD

Dr. Manpreet Khemka graduated from the Government Medical College in Aurangabad, India in 2004 and completed her residency at the University Of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Dr. Khemka joined Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services as a staff psychiatrist in 2014 and is a member of the American Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, American Psychiatric Association, and Mississippi Psychiatric Association. Dr. Khemka primarily sees patients on the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Unit located on Pine Grove’s main campus in Hattiesburg, MS.

James Marlowe, MD

Dr. James Marlowe graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, MS in 1996 and completed his residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Dr. Marlowe joined Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services as a staff psychiatrist in 2000 and is a member of the American Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association, and Southern Medical Association. Dr. Marlowe primarily sees patients on the Adult Psychiatric Unit located on Pine Grove’s main campus in Hattiesburg, MS.

Thomas Miller, MD

Dr. Miller has served at Pine Grove Behavioral Health since 2001. Dr. Miller is a graduate of the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. He completed his residency in adult psychiatry at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He went on to complete a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Miller is board certified in adult, child, and adolescent psychiatry, and addiction medicine. Additionally, Dr. Miller is certified in hypnotherapy by the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. Dr. Miller’s professional memberships include the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the American Psychiatric Association, the American Society of Addiction Medicine, and the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.

James Montgomery, MD

James C. "Jes" Montgomery, MD is the Primary Psychiatric Consultant for Pine Grove Behavioral Health & Addiction Services' sexual addiction treatment program, named Gratitude. Dr. Montgomery began working in the chemical dependency field in 1985 as a Family Physician, earning his Addiction Medicine certification in 1987 and becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Addiction Medicine in 2009. After returning to Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans in 1992, Dr. Montgomery completed a Psychiatry residency in 1995 and attained board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in 1999.

Since 1997, he has worked in residential treatment, and helped professionals with licensure issues related to addiction and boundary violations. After eight years as the Medical Director for Santé Center for Healing, he became the Psychiatric Director for Pine Grove's world-renowned Gratitude program. Dr. Montgomery was certified as a Sex Addiction Therapist and Supervisor by IITAP in 2011, having first trained in sexual addiction treatment in 1988.

His addiction work focuses on the family and the long-term aspects of recovery. Dr. Montgomery has worked with multiple addictions throughout his career including sex, gambling, and eating disorders. Dr. Montgomery has presented in the areas of pharmacology in addictions, boundaries and ethics, sexuality, sexual trauma and sexual addiction, sexuality and spirituality, grief and LGBT issues.

Teresa Mulvihill, MD

Dr. Mulvihill is a graduate of the University Of Mississippi School Of Medicine where she also completed her psychiatry residency. Dr. Mulvihill is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, a fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine and a member of the American Psychiatric Association as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Dr. Mulvihill joined the Pine Grove staff in 2008. She currently sees patients in an outpatient setting for assessment, medication management, and psychotherapy through the Pine Grove Outreach Center of Madison and works in a variety of programs in Hattiesburg including the Addiction IOP program and the Evaluation Center for Professionals.

Psychology Internship Program

Pine Grove has an excellent internship program that offers a wide range of training activities in our three rotations. We are able to offer interns opportunities for training in residential and outpatient settings working with adults, adolescents, and children. We are APA accredited as a single entity pre-doctoral psychology internship program under the name of Pine Grove Behavioral Health & Addiction Services, Doctoral Internship in Professional Psychology (PG-DIPP).
