NOTE: Pine Grove is a smoke-free campus, the use of any tobacco products is prohibited on all grounds and facilities.
What to bring (All Programs)
Clothing
- Seasonally appropriate casual clothes (no drug/alcohol, inappropriate advertisement, motorcycle, food, gambling or sex related slogans, etc)
- Workout clothes
- Dress clothes (optional)
- One piece swimsuit
Personal Items (Supply for 90 Days)
- Cash to purchase personal items to be used during treatment. Amounts in excess of $50 shall be locked up.
- Toiletries: soap, deodorant, shaving cream, lotion, personal hygiene products, etc. (All toiletry items should be
non-alcohol based) - Prescription and unopened over the counter medications such as Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Maalox and Nicotene
replacement therapies. - Stationary, Stamps, Writing Utensils, Journal, Notepads
- Alarm Clock
- Long Distance Calling Card
- Laundry Detergent, no bleach
- Bed Linens – sheets, blanket, comforter, pillows (Next Step & PEP – Twin Bed, Full Bed – GP) Linens provided
at the Women’s Center - Towels (Next Step, PEP, GP) Towels provided at the Women’s Center
- Cell Phones (to be used according to program guidelines)
What not to bring (All Programs)
- Pagers
- Cameras
- Computer (laptops, etc.)
- VCR/DVD Players/Video Games
- Weapons – Any item that may be used as a weapon
- Cigarettes/Chewing Tobacco/Nicotine Inhalers/Nicotine Gum
- Pornography or any suggestive pictures/Massage devices
- Laxatives/diet pills/Dietary or nutritional supplements
- Aerosols – hair spray, deodorants, etc.
- Hair/Personal Products containing alcohol
- Perfumes/Colognes
- Self Tanner
- Shaper Sneakers
- Expensive Items
- No outside food/drink (excluding PEP)
- Any sharps – razors, nail clippers, files will be kept at the nurse’s station and returned after use (excluding PEP)
What is the dress code?
- Casual, comfortable clothing (no alcohol or inappropriate advertisement)
- Shorts/dresses must be no more than 2 inches above the knees
- Shoes are to be worn at all times
- Appropriate undergarments must be worn at all times
- No see-through shirts or tops
- No low-rise pants, tops or any clothing that allow bare midriffs to be seen
- No sunglasses worn indoors

What about food/meals?

How to send/receive mail and packages?
Mail can be sent to and from each program. Packages will be observed when opened and items not allowed will be
removed.

What are the personal phone call guidelines?
| Gentle Path | No phone calls during the first two weeks, with the exception of one phone call to family with the first 24 hours of arrival. After the two week restriction is lifted, residents are allowed three 15 minute calls per week. If the patient has small children, phone contact can be made with staff approval. | |
| Next Step | Upon arrival, patient allowed one phone call. During first two weeks, all phone requests must be approved by staff. Phone usage is limited on a daily basis. | |
| Women's Center | No calls during first 2 weeks with the exception of a call within the first 72 hours in the presence of a therapist. After 2 weeks patients are eligible for weekly phone privileges. | |
| PEP | Cell phones are permitted, but not allowed during the daily programming. Failure to adhere to this may result in loss of the use of a cell phone due to lack of the responsibility for itsmanagement. Apartments have telephones for local use only – calling card needed for long distance calls. | |
Can the resident go shopping?

| PEP | Therapeutic leave or therapeutic visits can be requested after two weeks. | |

Can I have my car?

| PEP | Yes. PEP residents must provide their own transportation to and from treatment each day. During the first week the resident will be with another community member until orientation period ends. |
