Inpatient Child & Adolescent Services

Sometimes young people need a little help to grow up straight and strong. The Pine Grove Child and Adolescent Unit is a state-of-the-art 30 bed facility that offers inpatient treatment for children and adolescents with psychiatric and substance abuse issues. The treatment programming is specifically designed to treat the younger population, and the 22 acres of landscaped grounds offer a tranquil environment for recovery of children and adolescents. The program also offers classroom support on site to assist with the continuity of studies needed from the patient’s school.

The professional staff includes two child and adolescent psychiatrists, board certified in adult, child, and adolescent psychiatry, and a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Additionally a clinical therapist, expressive therapists, nurses, and counselors are on staff.

Inpatient treatment is typically offered to those individuals in need of acute care hospitalization.

  • Psychiatric disorders including: depression, bi-polar, anxiety, psychosis, and post traumatic stress disorder

Psychology Internship Program

Pine Grove has an excellent internship program that offers a wide range of training activities on two rotations. We are able to offer interns opportunities for training in residential, partial hospitalization, and outpatient settings working with adults presenting with a ride range of diagnoses. We are APA accredited as a single entity doctoral psychology internship program under the name of Pine Grove Behavioral Health & Addiction Services, Doctoral Internship in Professional Psychology (PG-DIPP).
