Primary Psychology Supervisory Staff

Theresa Ratti, Ph.D., CSAT

Dr. Ratti is a licensed psychologist in Mississippi and New York. She is currently practicing in Mississippi and offers psychotherapy for adults coping with mood, anxiety, adjustment and addictive behavior problems. Dr. Ratti has a primary interest in working with adult survivors of childhood abuse and neglect as well as adults who have experienced other types of trauma including combat, accidents, assaults and weather-related events. She is trained in and uses Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to address trauma issues where appropriate. Dr. Ratti is also a Certified Sexual Addictions Therapist. Dr. Ratti completed her doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at the University of Southern Mississippi in 1995. Her clinical training included a doctoral psychology internship at the VA Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Prior to joining the staff of Pine Grove Outpatient Services, Dr. Ratti worked at Interfaith Medical Center and Neighborhood Counseling Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. She is a member of state, regional and national professional organizations. She has been Director of Training for the internship since June 2011 and was the Assistant Director before that. She is a primary supervisor on the Adult/Behavioral Medicine Rotation and she leads Group Supervision. She also provides back-up supervision for interns on the Gentle Path Rotation, and is the primary supervisor on the Child and Adolescent Rotation while we look for a full-time child specialist.

   

Susan Campling, RN, PsyD, CSAT-S, CSOT, CDVT

Dr. Susan Campling serves on the staff of Pine Grove in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  During her capacity at Pine Grove Susan has served as the Director of the Pine Grove Gentle Path Program.  Today, she represents Pine Grove in speaking and educational events throughout the United States and abroad.  She brings to Gentle Path and Pine Grove over 20 years experience in the field of mental health and addiction treatment.  She is degreed in both nursing and psychology and has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient mental health care.  She previously served as the Director of the Keystone Center ECU in Chester, Pennsylvania. She was also Founder and Director of their Professional Assessment Center and has considerable experience facilitating recovery for health care providers and clergy.  Dr. Campling obtained her Doctorate from LaSalle University in Philadelphia PA.  She obtained her BSN from Alvernia University in Reading PA.  She has served on the Advisory Board for IITAP and Alvernia University graduate psychology programs.  She supervised both interns and post doctorate fellows including graduates of Widener University’s JD/Psy.D program.  She is a Certified Sexual Addictions Therapist-Supervisor, Certified Domestic Violence Therapist, Certified Sexual Offender Therapist and an Administrator for the Abel Assessment of Sexual Interst.  Dr. Campling has presented extensively on the topics of sexual addiction, sexual offending, domestic violence and trauma.  She is the primary supervisor when interns are on the Gentle Path Rotation, supervising both their assessments and group work.

   
David Yowell, PhD

David Yowell, Ph.D.

David Yowell, Ph.D is a licensed psychologist in the Professional Enhancement Program (PEP) with of the Pine Grove Recovery Center.  He completed his Masters and Doctorate degrees in the Counseling Psychology program at the University of Southern Mississippi where his research focused on adult attachment patterns and emotion.  He has provided individual and group psychotherapy and couples therapy in psychiatric units within the Mississippi State Hospital and nursing home, local Hattiesburg medical facilities, and counseling centers at the University of Southern Mississippi and University of South Florida.  He has also provided psychological, intelligence and neurocognitive assessment with psychiatric inpatients and adult outpatients in Mississippi and Florida.  He currently works with professionals at PEP on destructive personality traits, self-management, adaptive boundaries, interpersonal and relationship functioning, vocational issues, and addictions. He serves as the primary supervisor to the interns on the PEP Rotation, supervising both their assessments and group work.
