Most people who live with chronic pain have tried several treatments, including: medication, surgery, injections, physical therapy or acupuncture. While many find relief from these treatments, sadly, not everyone does. Also, while these treatments can reduce physical pain, some people still suffer. Why? One issue is that there is more to dealing with pain than reducing the hurting.
When pain persists for months or years, it is important to know that pain can lead to anxiety, anger and depression. It can also limit your activity, cause you worry, and change the way you think about yourself and others. Pain's constant presence can also wear you down, making you feel tense, fatigued and irritable.
We know that all of these conditions can also increase our pain sensations, often leading to a vicious cycle of hurt. While there is no "miracle of cure" for pain, the medical community has recognized that when pain is here to stay, it is also crucial to learn mental and physical ways to manage pain and become active in life again.
Our program uses research-proven, cognitive-behavioral techniques to lessen the impact of pain on your life. Our goal is to help you manage your pain better, reduce your suffering from pain and help you become active in your life again.
We will teach you how to reduce your pain, without relying only on medication, and how to get more from the medical treatments you also use.
We treat a wide variety of pain conditions, including: neck and back pain, foot and knee pain, headache, migraine, cancer pain, TMJ, musculoskeletal, pelvic pain, neuropathic pain, fibromyalgia and arthritis by offering:
