Pine Grove Outpatient Services now offers an eight-session workshop series focusing on practical strategies for dealing with children’s behavioral difficulties:
Based on 1-2-3 Magic by Thomas Phelan, Ph.D., this workshop series will help parents develop a more positive and peaceful home environment.
Parents will learn take-home skills on the following topics:

The three main “jobs” of parenting

Biggest discipline mistakes

Controlling “obnoxious” behavior

Managing manipulation
-
Encouraging “good” behavior
-
Strengthening your bond with your child
This workshop is appropriate for:
Parents, single parents, step-parents, grandparents, guardians or anyone
providing primary care to a child.

Led by Patricia Calabrese, PMHNP
Patricia Calabrese, PMHNP, is a graduate of Adelphi University in Garden City, New York. Patricia received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland and completed her post graduate studies at the University of Southern Mississippi. Patricia is a licensed mental health nurse practitioner in Mississippi. Patricia joined the Pine Grove Staff in 1992 and currently treats child and adolescent patients at Pine Grove Outpatient Services with special interest in ADHD and parenting education.
