
Sometimes young people need a little help to grow up straight and strong. Pine Grove continues to make developments in treating children and adolescents. The inpatient Pine Grove child and adolescent program includes a treatment specifically designed to treat the younger population. The state-of-the-art 24 bed facility offers inpatient treatment for psychiatric and substance abuse issues. The 22 acres of landscaped grounds offer a tranquil environment for recovery of children and adolescents. The program also has a school on site to assist with continuity of studies needed from the patient’s school.
The professional staff includes two child and adolescent psychiatrists board certified in adult, child and adolescent psychiatry. Additionally, psychologists, counselors, nurses and expressive therapists are on staff.
Inpatient treatment is offered to those individuals in need of acute care hospitalization. The Pine Grove inpatient unit is specifically designed to treat children and adolescents.

Choices is a specialized treatment tract offered in addition to the regular programming on the inpatient adolescent unit. During the assessment process, adolescents ages 11-17 years of age are assessed for drug and alcohol use. Those individuals who have used recreationally or abused alcohol and/or drugs will be eligible for this treatment.
The program will offer psycho-educational groups, groups by recovering people giving their history two times a week and a weekly family educational program. In addition to the family educational group, patients and families are offered family therapy to also address substance abuse.
