How to Give

Our alumni and their family members often ask how to give to assist others in their journey to recovery.

Through the Forrest General Healthcare Foundation, Pine Grove offers several ways to contribute to our mission of helping others in their journey to recovery.

When you submit online donations to Forrest General Healthcare Foundation, your information is processed by PayPal. We do not store any credit card information on the Pine Grove web site.

There is no finer gift than one which offers health and hope to others. Thank you!

Ways to Give

The Circle of Healing

The Circle of Healing was created as a means to enhance the care, programs, and facilities offered at Pine Grove. The Circle of Healing also accepts gifts dedicated to patient scholarships. This giving opportunity is a wonderful way to contribute to the gift of recovery for those most in need.

The Entrance is known as the Paul McMullan Circle of Healing Plaza. The centerpiece of this plaza is the Circle of Healing Sculpture designed by Mississippi artist and physician, J. Kim Sessums of Brookhaven, Mississippi. Illustrating the importance of support from the family and friends during illness and life struggles, the Circle of Healing Sculpture is an amazing reminder of the power of community. The Plaza is named after long-time Hattiesburg businessman and Past President of the Forrest General Hospital Board of Trustees, Paul McMullan.

The Spiritual Grounds

The Spiritual Grounds is a unique project that offers a setting for meditation and reflection for patients, families, and the community-at-large. The project, where art and nature converge, includes seven phases.

The Spiritual Grounds, designed by Albert and Associates Architects, is a physical place found at the Southwest corner of the Pine Grove campus.

Current giving opportunities allow us to further develop the Spiritual Grounds by adding these planned elements: bell tower, labyrinth, chapel, fire circle, and water feature.

Patient Scholarships

The Pine Grove Patient Scholarship Fund helps to supplement the cost of treatment for those in need.  Many patients have been able to attend and complete treatment because of the scholarships we are able to offer.  When you give to our scholarship fund, you are giving HOPE to the life of someone who may have never received treatment without your generosity.

Facilities

Donations to our facilities are used to enhance the patient experience; like library resources, a book exchange or recreational equipment.

Psychology Internship Program

Pine Grove has an excellent internship program that offers a wide range of training activities in our three rotations. We are able to offer interns opportunities for training in residential and outpatient settings working with adults, adolescents, and children. We are APA accredited as a single entity pre-doctoral psychology internship program under the name of Pine Grove Behavioral Health & Addiction Services, Doctoral Internship in Professional Psychology (PG-DIPP).
