How to Give
Our alumni and their family members often ask how to give to assist others in their journey to recovery.
Pine Grove, an extension of Forrest General Hospital, is pleased to be affiliated with the Forrest General Healthcare Foundation. The Forrest General Healthcare Foundation exists to help the hospital meet its mission of providing world class care.
Through the Forrest General Healthcare Foundation, Pine Grove offers several ways to contribute to our mission of helping others in their journey to recovery.
The Circle of Healing was created as a means to enhance the care, programs, and facilities offered at Pine Grove. The Circle of Healing also accepts gifts dedicated to patient scholarships. This giving opportunity is a wonderful way to contribute to the gift of recovery for those most in need.
The Spiritual Grounds is a unique project that offers a setting for meditation and reflection for patients, families, and the community-at-large. The project, where art and nature converge, includes seven phases. We are pleased to say the first two phases, Entrance/Plaza and Meditation Gardens have been installed.
Current giving opportunities allow us to further develop The Spiritual Grounds by adding these planned elements:
A community space that encourages healing, The Spiritual Grounds symbolizes connections to self, each other, and to the community. Entering The Spiritual Grounds is to begin a personal journey of contemplation and growth.
The Spiritual Grounds, designed by Albert and Associates Architects, is a physical place found at the Southwest corner of the Pine Grove campus.
The Entrance, Phase I, is also known as the Paul McMullan Circle of Healing Plaza. The centerpiece of this plaza is the Circle of Healing Sculpture designed by Mississippi artist and physician, J. Kim Sessums of Brookhaven, Mississippi. Illustrating the importance of support from the family and friends during illness and life struggles, the Circle of Healing Sculpture is an amazing reminder of the power of community. The Plaza is named after long-time Hattiesburg businessman and Past President of the Forrest General Hospital Board of Trustees, Paul McMullan.
As an extension of Forrest General Hospital, Pine Grove has successfully established comprehensive programs treating addictions and behavioral health issues for a diverse population of patients from across the country.
